A block of rooms has been reserved at the New Orleans Marriott, 555 Canal Street, New Orleans. You are responsible for making your own reservations. Please call Marriott Central Reservations, 800-228-9290, and be sure to mention that you are with Louisiana Recovery & Rebuilding Conference, to receive the group rate of $133 single/double plus 13 percent state and local tax, and a $3.00 occupancy fee per room. If you are a government employee, you will be exempt from the taxes; please bring all necessary documentation with you. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card at the time of making the reservation.

Reservations must be received no later than November 7, 2005.

The hotel’s check-in time is 3:00 p.m. The hotel’s check-out time is noon.


Travel Arrangements
The conference organizers are pleased to offer discounted airline fares on United Airlines to this conference. To make your reservations, log on to www.aia.org/conferences and click on the travel accommodations tab or contact the official travel agency for this conference, Travel Technology Group at 800-388-8814 or 312-527-7300 for international callers. Please keep in mind that air travel to New Orleans is still limited. Making your reservation as soon as possible is recommended.

United Airlines
United Airlines offers special rates on roundtrip fares in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The following discounts are available:
• 5 percent discount off lowest applicable fares
• 10 percent discount off unrestricted coach fares
• 5 percent bonus discount if ticket is purchased at least 30 days prior to travel date.

Dedicated reservationists are available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. EST at 800-521-4041 and please refer to reference ID Number 552TV. Reservations may also be made directly through TTG or by logging onto the AIA website at www.aia.org/conferences.

Airport Shuttle: Shuttle service is available from the airport to the hotels in the Central Business District for $13.00 (per person, one-way), $26.00 (per person, round-trip), or $24.00 (per person, round-trip for two or more people when purchased at the airport). Three bags per person. Call 866-596-2699 or 504-522-3500 for more details or to make a reservation. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all ADA accessible transfers. Please call well in advance for the specially equipped shuttle to be reserved. For group reservations of 10 or more people, please dial 888-432-7651. Ticket booths are located on the lower level in the baggage claim area.

Taxicabs: A cab ride costs $28.00 from the airport to the Central Business District for one or two persons and $12.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage.
